Internal memo to all FBN executives:
Hey, gang ... have any of you seen the folder marked "Big Deal" ??? I think I left it laying in the coffee room the other day. In fact, I think I left my little black book and reading glasses there, too.
In it were the plans for the mega-merger, including all the contact information for ... uh ... well, the people I need to talk with.
You don't suppose that the breakin was planned to steal those plans, do you? Nah, probably not. Nobody knew anything about it, except the executives of those 5 companies and you folks.
Hmmm .. it does cause one to think, though, doesn't it? The tech stocks took a hit today ... and especially those that were on the acquisition list. I wonder if somebody is manipulating those stocks down so they can buy a bunch prior to the merger?
Fortunately, none of the top secret development documents were in that folder. So, our latest frauds are safe from prying eyes.
I'd like to know who chose Cleveland as next week's mid-week strategy session. I'm flexible ... but ... Cleveland?
