I didn't mean to imply that transporting huge volumes of LNG can be done without incurring significant risks, just that, properly mitigated, they're often worth accepting. Concentrated energy is potentially dangerous, period, but it's also extremely beneficial . Overall, it's probably better to transport some LNG than burn the equivalent coal (or push people off the grid, at the margin). It's at least worthwhile to consider that what would be substituted for the LNG.
