There is no debate anywhere regarding states owning their own property. I don't think. Every state keeps the royalties from their land.

Oaklahoma, LA, texas and california could have set up savings accounts when they were producing a lot of oil. They didn't, we did.

The federal government's rights versus the states rights is constantly being debated by the high courts, but I think everyone agrees states get the income from their resources.

There is federal land and state land. The feds get the income from their land, although it depends on how the state and feds sorted out who got what at statehood.

We are supposed to get some of the royalties from federal land north slope oil and gas per our statehood contract, but the feds want to change that now.
