The Quilt Selects XO Communications for High-Capacity Network Services XO Communications Named Authorized Vendor for Leading Education and Research Consortium

XO Communications Services, Inc. (OTCBB: XOHO) today announced its selection as an authorized network services provider for The Quilt, the leading coalition of advanced regional network organizations representing more than 200 universities and thousands of other educational institutions across the United States. With this new relationship, Quilt members now have access to XO's high-speed IP transit and network transport services at highly competitive rates.
The Quilt provides a forum for communication among advanced regional network organizations and others dedicated to advancing research and education in the United States, such as higher learning institutions and large research universities. The Quilt's Commodity Internet Services (CIS) project aggregates the buying power of The Quilt participants to get the best value for Internet services.
