I think all of the attacks on McCain's Vietnam record will backfire.

Frankly, there are not that many "attacks". Some independent blogs is about it... not like running national TV advertising over and over and over. Not enough noise to backfire.

I understand that people seem to be pissed off over the Swiftboat veterans back in 2004, but you have to admit Kerry set himself up for the smears.

By highlighting his service? Yeah, he was asking for it all right.
