"The Fathers had to compromise to appease the big gov federalists."

Who? Hamilton????????????????

"The States didn't"

Yet another TOTALLY IRRELEVANT brain-fart from shorty, LOL!

(The topic under discussion was the original intent of the WORDS in the US CONSTITUTION... and the observation was that the ACTUAL DEBATES during the consideration of the US Constitution, by the people who wrote/considered/approved it, and the written legislative history, might be good places to start to learn what their original meaning was understood to be at the time.)

Just as I'm sure that if you want to know what the 'intent' was of the people who wrote and approved the Texas Constitution, or the Alabama Constitution, or the Delaware Constitution, it would probably be a good idea to actually READ the WORDS of the people who wrote/debated and approved those constitutions!

Or, do you ALWAYS take the long way around the park to get anywhere, shorty? (Leave NY and go to MD to get to Quebec, do you?) LOL!
