Brazil and Argentina stop trading in dollars

SÃO PAULO, 6/30/08 - At the 25th Mercosur Summit on Tuesday Argentina and Brazil will officialize an agreement whereby bilateral trade will no longer be in dollars, but in their own currencies.
The deal is a landmark and has been one of the main goals of Mercosur.
According to economists, the new measure will lower financial and bank operation costs by 2.5% in both countries. (Newsroom/ DCooke - InvestNews)
