Let me ask you this: Should Obama be campaigning as an African-American even though he is one? Obama has been following the good old postulate of campaigning which is respect the intellect of the voter. They are smart enough to see through things like McCain's claim that he is up on military affairs because of his POW credentials. Do we have to say it? Are the voters stupid? When Barack made that comment about attacking one's patriotism irrespective of his or someone else's, he was speaking from a position of strength. His subliminal message was, folks I am not going to attack someone else but if I am attacked I will not wimp out. No "wanted dead or alive" type of a situation that we heard W say after 9/11 and then come up with nothing to show after almost 6 years of war against terrorism.
