Is excite's release as good as it sounds?
They still lost quite a bit of money.
They finally cleared up (at least a little) the 80M in deals, most of them are 2-3 year deals. 80M over 2.5 years is not that much (IMO).
The one thing that really did impress me though was the increase in revenue, this alone could propel the stock higher.
I doubt that the deals excite is getting are much better (if better at all) that it's competitors. What's the point of throwing a number out there if you don't explain where the number comes from? Just because the deals are worth 80M doesn't mean that they will produce 80M in revenue.

The rumors about a buyout have not been proven as anything but rumors, although infoseek did say they had some announcements that were to come out within the next few weeks (didn't they?).

I really hope they are not bought out although a merger with lycos would work for me.
