Wayo going on in Saudi, Eplay: Saudis investing more than $10 billion, with 26 contractors, 106 subcontractors and 28,000 employees. It is the largest piece of a five-year, $60 billion effort to expand oil production capacity at a time of fast-rising demand.

Look when that amount of money is on the tale people tend to be very economical with the truth.

This effort, (and the promise of more riches in Khurais) is perhaps the sign that Ghawar will go Cantarell. The effort diverts the atention from the Ghawar.

"The Khurais complex, which includes two smaller adjacent fields, was discovered in 1957. It got only limited use, because its oil is less accessible than that of the great Ghawar field, the world’s largest."

Easy pickings gone, now is time for the Saudis get the high hanging fruit. But lets see if after all this money is invested the well is really what Aramco is telling the Saudis.
