Of course being a fighter pilot is not a qualification for president. Hell, didnt we find this out with Bush? But if you listen to what clark said, it can be read two ways. He said being a "pilot who was shot down" doesnt qualify one to be pres. That could be read as what unclewest said in 2000 and 04 on LB thread that McCain was a lousy pilot to boot.
As for veep, he is done and i am happy about that. He reminds me too much in demeanor of General Alexander Haig. And as a general rule, i am against generals running for high office without first participating in government in some fashion like Powell, Webb etc.
Just like the unclewests on LB thread, the Teds over here just dont get it. Sure obama can win a narrow victory even if they demonize mccain. But what obama is after is a clear majority win and in the mid 300s in electoral votes. Now he is back to the obama i liked at the beginning---transformational, progressive but moderate and not a cowtower to the radical left represented by Ted.
