OPEC will not be able to replace some 4 million barrels per day in lost Iranian output if Tehran carries out its threat to stop oil exports if attacked... If that scenario plays out, and oil spikes, we may have to tap the strategic petroleum reserve. It is there for a national emergency like supplies affected by war.
