My opinion on Kerry's loss is the brilliance of Karl Rove and not that of the swiftboaters. If in 13 states the ballots contains the issue of gay marriage as was the case in 2004, then you get a lot of Catholics, evangelicals etc. coming to the polling booth to vote no.

I think we give "too" much credit to the swiftboaters.

I just read a news item that Obama, in a speech today, said that people could be hired or fired based on their faith. Seems to me that there is a error in reporting and it is being sorted out. Now that is a topic for discussion Posting an appeal to sign a petition, in my opinion is using SI for organized lobbying.

Your posts along with those who question Obama while leaning to vote for Obama makes this thread very interesting.
