Finally getting back to this troposphere/stratosphere thing. I was closer to correct in this post:

There is significant leakage of troposphere material into the lower stratosphere at tropical latitudes facilitated by something called the Brewer-Dobson circulation. Trying again to figure out if my original interpretation based on previous attempts at reading some warming model literature is valid: mainly that increased water vapor input into the lower stratosphere would result in increased temperature. Any board insights appreciated.
