OK, let's look at it.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

You say that the words are clear. So would you mind explaining to me what that bit about a well regulated Militia is about? See, that's the part that I find a bit confusing. The second part has been interpreted by many people to mean that individual people have the right to possess firearms. But if it's only about individual people, what's all this about Militias?
