I see incredible advances all over the world, not just China. India, Brazil, Eastern Europe, Latin America.
China is such a success story because the crazy Communists almost destroyed the economy. It's not surprising that coming back from almost zero they're booming. It's exactly what was predicted by Western economists, politicians and political scientists decades ago.
Get rid of crazy Communist stranglehold on the economy, open up to free trade, stand back, and watch human ingenuity flourish.

July 24, 2008 will be my ten year anniversary posting on SI. It's been a very interesting and entertaining pastime. One of the things I've learned is how hard wired personality is. People are who they are.
Some people see the world in black and white, some shades of gray, some all the colors of the rainbow. Some look at the world through rose colored glasses, some look at the world through shit covered glasses.

At any rate, Jay and I have been talking about TEOTWAWKI for at least seven of the past ten years, and he made it very clear that he wasn't just talking about the fluctuations of fortune as we've experienced in our own lifetimes, he meant the destruction of the US economy.
