Hi Li,

Actually, I do a lot better with NOVL when I trade from time to time and I blew it this time around by not taking a nice profit when it was handed to me on a silver platter. Unfortunately, I don't have the necessary time to devote to trading right now and I don't like the idea of leaving open limit orders with my broker. There are too many reasons I might regret having an order fill at the target price or might miss having the order fill because it was off a few cents.

The longer term moving averages are trending up nicely so I'm not too worried about just letting it sit, but I do hate to see free money laying on the table then watch it go away, especailly when I know better. It might not make sense, but not selling at the recent high bid of 10.06 wasn't a mistake but not selling at 9.91 was. Oh well.

I do tend to view a potential bad quarter for MSFT as an indication of competitive pressure rather than a weakness in the software industry as a whole, but the market may not see it that way. AMD and CRYX got clobbered right along with INTC. The market is getting jumpy over interest rate fears again and I'm seeing a lot companies prices drop on news that would normally cause an increase in a happy market. I follow CHKPF which gives me hope that if earnings are good enough the price will move no matter what the rest of the market is doing. There are a number of things that cause me to suspect that NOVL is a lot more closely watched than most of us realize. If Schmidt can show Wall Street the money this quarter this poor kicked pup might just kick some serious A$$. Who knows, we might even see some VPs picking up a few shares.

Regards,

Don
