As discussed early today, oil falling will almost certainly give some relief to equities. It will generate some s-t relief imo. The "problem" with equity markets is not oil. The problem runs deeper. Oil backing off to under $100 would not be enough for equities to take off to new highs.

When I say "Falling oil would have a negative impact on index charts.", I did not mean a net-negative effect, as in dragging them lower. I should have been more clear. I meant it will be a drag on the indices, given how big a percentage the oil-related stuff has become.
