I've posted this story before but here goes again....

Jim Fueling was a client of mine right before he passed away of pancreatic cancer. Google him and you'll see his resume. Anyway, he retooled a standard V8 to much tighter tolerances(plus other stuff) which had the effect of reducing emissions down to almost zero, increasing efficiency to 60 mpg(he tested it in a Caddy as i recall) and decreasing engine wear so it could last 350k miles. Although he shopped it all over Detroit they just laughed.

"Jim, why would we want a car that lasts for 350k miles?"
