Hmm.. maybe, but I doubt it.. This was a HUMINT operation, from what the newspapers are reporting.. They sucessfully infiltrated (or bought a turn-coat) the organization and actually had control over the hostages when rescued..

Again.. according to what I'm reading..

But I really feel sorry for all of those remaining hostages. This is going to have serious repercussions on their situation. They will be moved more often, and guarded more closely by trusted FARC members.
