I agree with you about the luddite stuff- though I feel sorry for the luddites. They weren't really what people think they were. Absolutely. Great point. Once I read the section in E. P. Thompson's great book on the English Working Class, I decided never to use the term in this context again. But it got past my internal editor. Apologies all around.
