I think he should lift the executive order! Doing that wouldn't allow any more leasing till Congress acts, but it would put the onus on them alone.

I agree, and wonder why he doesn't.

The title of the thread is "Politics of Energy" and frankly there seems to be a lot more "politics" going on the "energy" solutions in this country. On both sides.

Alt energy will be the future, but in the meantime energy efficiency is the only answer to the "oil crisis". And as with any project, you start with the low hanging fruit... the inefficiency of the personal vehicle.
