Questions to ponder: is there no place to hide from the monetary-econo-political storm? Will buygold not be salvation this time? Do the lessons of history mean nothing? Just got done visiting Guangzhou. Off the through train to Kowloon, and now in car on way home. Looking forward to coconut chattering away and an ice cold ice cream soda. While in guangzhou, got acquainted with investment institution of cash cow state business that would like to establish moolah management business with little old me and pals. Their pitch is that a small 20/80 jv platform can be setup and piggyback on their very much larger platform and tag-along with their actions and counteractions of market manipulation, convolution scheming, and schema construction. Their big platform operates with billions of rmb. The day was spent eating breakfast dumplings, drinking tea, getting to know each other, checking out their war room, flipping through battle records, and having explained to me the theory and practice of activist stockjobbing in league with target management and/or counter against other speculators. It is a wilderness out there! Make friends, operate in packs, or fight alone and perish not knowing exactly why. All of the above took from 8:30am until 3:00pm. My reaction: whoa, awesome, and i had thought goldman sachs was naughty. Silly me.
