Remaining part of the Empire would have been pure ambrosia.....We poor Americans would know how to address our betters properly, for example I don't have the foggiest notion of what to call you. Should it be "my lord Winn...."Sir Winn" or just plain "hey Duke". To know ones place in society is very important...plus we would have soccer hooligans to look down upon no matter what our station in life. We would have had 9 dollar a gallon gas way before its time. Food dishes that would normally be associated with those that are fitted with a bone through the nose to enjoy. Our legal system would be held in much higher regard....who in their right mind could poke fun at barristers in powdered wigs? And let's face it, our ignorance is so apparent that probably not 1 in a 100 of our citizens could give proper change for a sixpence. Pitiful state of affairs for sure.
