You do realize this is one sentence... In the meeting with the media was present the Deputy Jesus Armando Munoz Ponce, who showed his support for the group of ejidatarios members from Huizopa, who (the group members) are asking that their viewpoint with respect to the problems presently encountered within the said ejido belong to the municipality of Madera, (extremely long winded sentence here but bear with me) The Deputy Jesus Armando Munoz Ponce, presided over a press conference for the ejidatarios and the opposite views that they hold regarding what another group of ejitadarios call non-respect of the plan.
Ok more simply put: Mr Munoz Ponce, a PRI deputy was at a press conference or a meeting and showed his support in making voices from a group of ejido members heard in opposing another group from the ejido where the mine is located. This other group (protest group) is saying Minas Dolores has not respected their development plan.
>>> The ejidatarios manifested publicly their disagreement with the position taken by a minority group of the same ejido (protest group), of which some people are outsiders, people outside the state, among others leaders of NGOs.
The protests by this minority group (blockade and threatening sign boards) against Mineral de Dolores have caused prejudice to many families, which have resulted in a work stoppage at the mining company, as well as at its contractors with hundreds of people being thrown out of work.
In a text, they explain: "We just want to work, we have families to support and these actions are detrimental not only to us, ejidatarios who only want to work, but also for people of the area who have found an honest undertaking to provide for their families" said the ejidatario Sergio Romero, who also expressed that the group of ejitadario he represents has found absolutely no infractions (no non-conformity) on the mining company's part. In fact, he continues, the company has complied with all the clauses of its contract.
I will just summarize the end of the article: Mr Munoz Ponce says that after conferring with officials from the Forestry Development Dept. , the same conclusions were arrived at. He stresses that it is important to create a climate to secure jobs for the area and not chase them away, also pointing out that 30 million dollars have already been invested. He concludes with a reference to a commission of deputies that visited the houses built by the mining company and says that they were found to be completely satisfactory with respect to the provision of light, water and drainage (which i assume to be sewer system etc...) which the residents do not even have to pay anything for.
( which again, not knowing the agreement, i am assuming they are referring to the fact there are no light, water or sewage charges...??) The article ends with the mention : "the company, among many other things, provide for light, water and sewage at no charge to the residents" ( i think that the reference to "among many other things" is also very deliberate in the article, and shows that these guys are getting a good deal, anyway just my personal note in here.)
Hope that helps,
