Social security was essential. You look at the world one way, BCB looks at the world like you. I look at the world differently. I look to the future based on modern ideas of equality and humanity.

Ask yourself. Was it liberals or conservatives that fought the most to end slavery, get rid of sweatshps, get women the vote, end segregation, and enact social security.

By the way when Lincoln was a Republican that was the liberal party in those days. A little fact people forget to mention.

30 years I was in politics and I saw and see a much differnt world than you.

Apparently never the twain shall meet. You cannot convince me of your world as I cannot see it and I cannot convince you of the world I see as you cannot see it.

I judge leaders based on a couple of qualities I read in the person: sound judgement, humanity and honesty. A person without humanity is nothing in my opinion.

Nixon versus Mcgovern is my favorite comparison. Nixon was a vile man and McGovern was a brilliant decent man, PHD and a man Bobby Kennedy called the most decent man in the senate. Judge Sirica said he felt Nixon was incapable of telling the truth. McGovern was a WWII bomber pilot and most of his squadren died.

The conservatives loved Nixon and the liberals loved Mcgovern. So what does history tell us regarding who was reading whom correctly?

Our humanity defines us as humans.
