Carter didn't have an energy plan other than all suffer equally and "conserve" our way out of it. Turn your thermostats down and grab a sweater comrade. pbs.org "The sixth principle, and the cornerstone of our policy, is to reduce the demand through conservation." The tenth principle is that we must start now to develop the new, unconventional sources of energy we will rely on in the next century. You're kidding......really? Is you're understanding of the problem this limited? Beam me up Scotty...... We can only hope.
