Thanks PB....I heard the other day that the UK politics are with different 'labels' than ours...so appreciate that info.

One of the biggest differences in the two parties here in the states is, the Democrats tend to like all things "Government" and are heavily into taxes to pay for whatever....while the Republicans tend to like less intrusive government and like free enterprise/capitalism to pay for common items that we deem necessary. The Dems I think tend to think the pie can't be larger, but the Repubs know with hard work that small business can grow and make the pie MUCH larger...

Both parties have been spending so much money in the last decade or two though, that one just is staggered by the stupidity. For example, look at how many disasters we have had here in this country.....Most Republicans tend to have insurance to help with the repair costs, and my bet is that many, if not most Democrats tend to think that the Government will pay for the cost of damage, no matter what....Ditto health care....

And now that the mortgage mess is on us, created largely because banks granted loans to people who didn't have money as a down payment on the loan, and took out a bigger loan on a bigger house than they could afford. So now, many of these same stupid people think the government will bail them out.....
