Pretty much the same with me. I would join the book club in the summer. We had a wondeful library. I read all of the oz books and all of the freddie the pig books-lol.

Our town was pretty poor, but a killer large brick modern library. And thelibrarians in the kids book section really worked hard to get us to read by buyign books we woul dlike.

I still remember the feel of those big leather chairs I would fall into and read all day. How quiet the library was and the contest poster for the book club was a spaceship and the more books you read the farther into space you got.

Except for reading, I had a very poor primary education. Too busy trying to survive with an alcoholic father and working for a car and spending money.

But once I stumbled into college the one thing I could do was read. I couldn't spell, but I could read-lol.
