You're wrong to advocate purposefully foregoing domestic production in the cause of conservation. Since I'm not (for the 20th time) then I'm not "wrong". Discuss what I say not what YOU want to argue with. But it ain't going to amount to ANY significant change in the core problem. Btw, if you think we can go from 25% (actually a little under that) to 3% of world consumption w/o a massive drop in the US standard of living anytime w/i the next few decades, you're nuts. What's magical about 3%??? A drop to, say 12%, about a 50% efficiency gain in 10 years, would make a whole lot of difference.
