I doubt it. You could eliminate taxes for the lower half of the nation, yet they'd still complain that the "rich" aren't paying their "fair share."

That's how the debate has been shaped in a post-modern world.

Anyway, I'm sure we can get Warren Buffet to pay more taxes by eliminating all of the tax breaks he enjoys. Best way to do that is via the flat tax. Only problem is that even flat taxes can be legally dodged one way or another.

And then you'll always have politicians who can't resist adding their little micromanagement touches to the tax code ...
