It's obvious you believe in the converse argument, that governmental responsibility for social services is a viable substitute for charity.

So obvious as to be completely wrong...

You look upon that choice and see the potential for abuse, for selfishness, for avarice. Hence the "forced charity" of liberal socialism.

again...I look upon that choice and see the good it does, but I also see the incompleteness of it. It is an adjunct and not a substitute for social service. Stop selling a soup kitchen or a volunteer clinic as substitute for governing
