Absolutely true. Australia similar to UK and California at height of the bubble. And with the RBA's cash rate at 7.25% (mortgage rates north of 9% with no deductions for owner occupied property) plus large state "stamp duty taxes" on buying a house, I think you have to be nuts to buy one now. Unless you think prices are going to continue to rise at a pretty high rate in the long-term.
