I love my house. I am going to die in this house. I love working in my garden, I love pottering around the house, putting in new curtains, new storm doors, rearranging the furniture. It's not a money thing for me, it's the place I live. It's in a great neighborhood, I love my neighbors, it's close to work. I couldn't rent this house for what we pay on the mortgage, and we also get the tax break, which is very helpful. We saved more than $6,000 on our federal taxes in 2007, due to the mortgage interest deduction. If you prefer to buy gold, and rent, chacun a son gout.
