Its just necessary imho to understand the differences of today vs the late 70s. There is little systemic inflation other than the effects of oil and related commodities. There is no wage spiral now. Then there was no export boom in place. Thre are still deflationary pressures coming from globalism albeit less than before. Interest rates are low not high and high inflation is 3% not 12%.
