Someone blew up the indian embassy in kabul yesterday killing many indians among the 41 dead. In the middle of the afgan civil war is al quaeda/pashtun terrorism. This is quite different than the last go-round with the taliban when it was more of a civil war with taliban receiving help from al queda. The Pashtuns are looking to take afganistan. I know south wahiristan is part of pakistan whose policy is not war with afgainistan but this small part of pakistan is pursuing war and that war needs to be brought to their doorstep if only to deter them from these dastardly acts.
