After all, they did him a huge favor. Even then, he had to agree to sell them military equipment illegally.

I read the stuff that James Watt said back then and I wonder how the righties can think Reagan was a great president. With all the underhanded crap he pulled, I see him as not being too far above Bush who used him as a role model.
