Some possible reasons: Housing start numbers, bad earnings from Sun Micro,US embargo on Japanese ships,The Nimitz and Persian Gulf,damn-wishper numbers,overzealous analysts,greed/fear, memomry of 87 crash-
spooky,eh? and I could go on and on...but the funny thing is, none of'em could be the reason,go figure!
