lexi; Piece in our local newspaper re Oilsands. Premier Stelmach of Alberta says they will do whatever it takes to show US politicians, that Alberta is serious about investing in the oil sands to improve emmissions.
He had discussions with the US Ambassador and invites any other interested US officials to come up and see the processes and how they are improving them. He said they will fund it all, if the federal govt is not readily forthcoming

You get the feeling that the old saying "Pride goeth before a fall" will win out here; when there is no other game in town, you play the cards you are dealt. I think they would rather deal with Canadians than all the other crooks they have been dealing with in the middle east. Lots of erstwhile Skeiks in Alberta, Manitoba and saskatchewan.
I seem to recall their reference in the not too recent past to "Let the bastards freeze in the dark"(Easern Canada) when their was winter supply disruption.
