A preemptive, genocidal war against bears? My, what a bloodthirsty Kiwi you are!

The local bears mostly behave themselves, and they have a useful ecological role. Pacific salmon die after spawning, the bears eat them, then shit in the woods, and the trees are fertilized by nutrients recycled back from the sea.
