There was an anti-mining ranch foreman (Fuzz) that I used to lock horns with over exploration on federal minerals where the ranch owned or leased the surface rights. (mineral rights take priority but you have to compensate surface owner for disturbance and/or loss of revenue due to your activities.) One day Fuzz kissed the cows goodbye and moved to Wyoming to work at North Antelope. "Driving truck instead of driving cattle" His Mama still lives in these parts so I see him a couple of times a year. He brags about how big the mine is, but I do not know what the reserves are.
