So far FED has failed to stabilize the economy. It seems clear to me that it will get worse and the FED is more likely to return to cutting rates than raising them. In the first six months of 2008 my firms new business was up 75% over 2007. And that understates the rise since I have been eliminating some rather large clients to shift the business mix to higher yielding clients. Without the changes we would be up over 100%. That alone says the economy is ugly. The implosion of FNM and FRE looks to be a disaster. ij
