Taikun,
FWIW GRI news:
Galore begins $3-million exploration program at Taseko

2008-07-10 09:46 ET - News Release

Mr. Ray Torresan reports

GALORE LAUNCHES $3 MILLION CDN PROGRAM ON TASEKO PROJECT

Galore Resources Inc. has begun a $3-million exploration program to include 5,000 metres of drilling on its 48,000-plus-hectare copper-gold-molybdenum project, located in the Taseko Lakes area southwest of Williams Lake, B.C.

The program is being directed by Equity Engineering, a leading mining and exploration firm with global recognition and experience. A 20-person camp is completed with activity scheduled through to the end of September. The initial phase of the program includes reconnaissance-scale geological mapping and sampling over numerous prospective areas.

Based on previous testing and results, drill targets have been identified. A compilation of previous exploration data identified the Hub, Northwest Copper and the Wilson Ridge areas as the primary drill targets. The Hub target will be the first area to be drilled. The drill program is designed to test for a possible extension of porphyry-style copper and molybdenum mineralization along the southern margin of the Hub intrusive body, delineated from the airborne geophysical survey carried out in 2007.

The 5,000-metre drill program is scheduled to commence July 15, starting with two drill holes at the Hub showing. Following the Hub, the drill will move to the Northwest Copper area, prior to moving to the eastern side of the property near Wilson Ridge. The Wilson Ridge area is defined by the largest copper-molybdenum anomaly on the property.

Galore's property is located 15 kilometres north of the Taseko mines Prosperity project, which is believed to be Canada's largest undeveloped copper-gold project. The B.C. Ministry of Environment recently announced progress under provisions of the Environment Assessment Act, with an environmental assessment review of Taseko's proposed $800-million Prosperity gold-copper mine.
