Refreshing to hear from Guiliani.

A little story-----from mj

"A contractor had a young man from a South American country, legal immigrant, painting-----this young man is the best painter I have seen, he is a perfectionist.

His father was an artist in his native country and this young man translated that artistic skill of his father to painting houses.

I met the painter's family---his wife who speaks excellent English----his father here on vacation who could only smile and spoke no English---his mother on vacation who spoke a few words but could identify with the music I played for her.

The young painter's dream is to start his own business. His English is good but not fluent enough to conduct business on his own, thus he works for a contractor. One day he comes to paint----and tells me proudly that he has enrolled in English classes-----so he can have his own business.

This young man is following his dream just as Guiliani's ancestors did, my ancestors did and everyone who writes on this message board.

The fact is if we all spoke in our native tongues it would be chaos. There would be no common language, no way of communicating.

The bottom line is---------if you want to be a citizen of the United States of America, learn English. "

Now to Obama:

Obama is presuming that Americans are not literate in other languages----that is an insult. Does he think that he is the only one who has gone to a University and learned a foreign language or been required to take a language course, usually two years at minimum of another language? Obama is out of touch with realitiy.
