My 16yr old niece started Spanish classes in 7th grade, chose it as her HS language for 2yrs, then tired of it, switched to French for last 2yrs. They're both romance languages so she probably noticed similarities. She'll enter college with 6yrs of a foreign language. Is that unusual in today's America? Thought most HSs required a foreign lang. course.
She's always received high verbal scores..writing, reading comprehension(thank you Harry Potter), grammar, etc. Math?...forgeddaboudit!..that's from the Newyorkish language.<g>
