Me? I remember my first days of "business for myself" Seeing pop bottles on a porch, (after my fatehr and mother got a "D" word back in 1969 (D-WORD = divorce)
The "rate of exchange" back then was ME, knocking on the doors of people having "glass" ( pop bottles ) sitting outside, on the back porch.
If I saw a "market", in which "trade" and I could "back up my truck, call in the wagons" and TRADE my WHITE MAN labor, raking leaves, snow shoveling...etc...
