The dyes absorb light across a glass panels surface in a range of wavelengths, then transport energy across the panel and re-emit it at a different wavelength in solar cells at the edges. Since active solar cells need only be mounted around the edge of these panels, they will be cheaper than traditional solar panels, Baldo claimed.

Sounds good - glad to see not all of US of A is chasing commodities; perhaps the investment banks should do some venture capital and not going up their ass into commodities.
Change the building code - mandate it in case it works.

The daily propaganda machine only talks about price premium for crude due to supply jitters and "geopolitical tensions" - daily and almost none stop. And when the price goes down it's also due to jitters - but in this case its less jitters compared to yesterday's jitters - but no matter what it's always jitters.
My point: should not a BTU that is not subject to "supply jitters" valued higher compared to a BTU that is subject to "supply jitters"?
The market can only think $ and cent and that's where we need "corrective action". Supposedly "the market" is the huge melting pot consisting of many, many different opinions but all the opinions can only "communicate" via $ and cent.
Growth should be far more stable and predictable in case a portion of energy is delivered "jitter free" and wouldn't this be desirable?
The problem is the market likes jitters just like the market hates stable, modest growth compared to cyclical bust and boom.
Is Wallstreet and BIG money really interested in "jitter free" energy - for sure it's in the best interest of the US of A and there I can see a conflict of interest and as pointed out om this board we need integer leadership with a clear vision and willing to execute.
Jitters are the ultimate knob to move markets; the internet is the perfect infrastructure to "spread" the jitters.
How much are we willing to pay for "jitter free" energy?
We just keep building solar plants - perhaps the shade created by the panels will "cool" down the desert and create a climate change...just kidding
