JMO, but I don't think we HAD to invade Iraq. At least not before we had fully stabilized Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is a difficult place for any army to wage war. The terrain itself tends to negate much of our technology.

Iraq, on the other hand, had been a thorn in our side for years... UN sanctions had no effect on his behavior after years... and Iraq is a much more suitable place to act as fly paper, which it has done well.

He was a loose cannon and a mass murderer who wouldn't flinch at nerve gassing an entire town. Did you happen to see the documentary of the after effects? Truly horrific.......

Hussein was an evil guy, but probably not as evil as Mugabe or Lil Kim.

They're all psychopaths, sociopaths and probably a couple of other paths that no ones thought of before...<g>
