Thanks Dave for good post. But... 1. Oracle APP may be have longer run that you feel because of the shorter implementation cycle and adding functionalities. 2. Oracle is selling at the same price as SQL*Server on NT. If I am not wrong,Oracle is gaining market share at MSFT and may already passed it. In my view, Oracle will get even with SAP within 3-4 years and as long as it sell as much NT copies as MSFT, the stock is safe. Remembered two years ago, at Oracle managers meeting, Ray Lane said, Microsoft may become someone who takes your food from your table, takes your kids away(or something like this). They have knwon this all along and we hope this never happen.
