Converts sunlight directly to electricity, currently at a very low efficiency. It's a solid state technology, with no moving parts. The original solar cells, made over 50 years ago, still work just fine with no maintenance.

Thanks.

Do you know what's the cause for its low efficiency? Could it be the required conversion from DC to AC electricity?

FSLR - has the patent on the first PV cells produced on a "printing press" onto a flexible material. Production is sold out for the foreseeable future.

Its why I own them. They have a unique technology.

BTW do you plan to check out Mobile? I don't know a lot about Mobile but it seems to be an interesting city. Mobile had the first Mardi Gras even before NO. In some ways, it sounds a bit like Charleston, SC. It might be a good time to buy cheap before the boom happens.
